Enjoyable program featuring Christmas trees from around the world - from Europe's tallest in Portugal to the world's tallest glass Christmas tree, found in Venice, to a giant skyscraper Christmas tree in Japan, where the population is less than 1% Christian. Russia displays Christmas trees which are visited by Father Frost. The Christmas tree in London's Trafalgar Square has been provided every year since 1947 by Norway in gratitude for Britain's assistance to that country during World War II. Our national Christmas tree in D.C. is decorated by 3000 ornaments made by school children. Most touchingly though are the 5,000 wreaths donated every year since 1992 to the Arlington National Cemetary by Maine's Worcester Wreath Company, and placed by Maine school children. A very outstanding - and memorable - program!

If we are going to have a Christmas show, we should also have equally informative Channukah and Kwansa programs during December. We should also honor other religions and holidays (ie: Chinese New Year) at the appropriate times of the year. My birthday is 09/27/1938--not 12/31. Dick Tannenbaum

What a marvelous present to open, a few days before our celebration of the holidays. As a visual person, it is refreshing to see as well as read this program. Thank you for this global present from the world. It does reflect the worldwide aspect of giving and sharing at this time of year. Maybe we can extend this to fill the rest of the year! Hapy holidays!!!!
