Program: National Geographic Photos 2006
Speaker: John Wellbelove, Gilleleje, Denmark
Here at Recswusa, we have a long tradition (well, this is our fifth year) of presenting a pictorial program for the last meeting of the calendar year, whan life is hectic and a little stress relief is in order. This year's program includes photos from The National Geographic Society (United States), put together by the above named John Wellbelove. Our thanks to John for building this lovely presentation and posting it to a public forum where I could find it.
When you click on "Download and view program', the program will load and then start. The presentation contains some barely visible controls in the far lower lefthand side. You can use these buttons to go forward, back, and pause should you find something you want to see more of. (You can see that I'm from the Winston Churchill school of grammar.)

I have enjoyed this e-makeup. The images, along with the John Lennon song, certainly lead one to reflect on the year past and the year to come. I actually watched this program twice as it was so enjoyable. The idea of ending a Rotary year with such a presentation is very nice. I intend to take note of the website where this presentation came from as we might be able to use this as a resource for my home club in the future. We have a small club and sometimes, during holiday periods for example, we have social evenings (ours is a supper club) or presentations by members. This is because, during times such as these, a number of members are usually away and the number of people who can attend a meeting shrinks considerably. However, it is always a pleasant meeting. A pictorial presentation such as this one, might be just the thing for a meeting such as this. Thank you.

Yes, those are marvelous photographs to end this year. It is inteesting that nature seems to continue to create beauty as man seems to mess up our world. Or at least the images that our communication organizations choose to show.
