Program: About RYLA

Speaker:

This Week’s Program will focus on Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp - RYLA - that will be held in Heber AZ Thursday, June 3 through Sunday June 6th. Our eClub program will feature the two students sponsored by our eClub and give a rundown on the RYLA program in general. We will also acknowledge the clubs that have provided the funding for our students this year. Please attend early to get the “scoop”.
At RYLA, students are divided into teams and given a community, regional or global problem to solve using a team approach. This resolution is presented on Sunday morning as a skit. There will be a high & low wire challenge course, lectures & problem solving group activities. All eClub members are encouraged to attend even for just part of a day. I will be working the registration desk on Thursday afternoon, Mel will be conducting the volleyball tournament Friday and Saturday, Karen will be a counselor throughout the program. You can join any of us to be part of the program. Just let me know you are coming. Directions will be provided.
RYLA scholarship recipients Sarah Crookston and Rachel Crookston residents of Pinedale, AZ.
Sarah Crookston is a Junior at Show Low High School. She maintains a busy life with family, church, school, and community activities.
