4 Girls GLocal Leadership
Speaker: Jin In
Date: Feb 21, 2011
I was recently reading the newsletter from my college (Trinity University of San Antonio, Texas, USA), and happened across the story of Jin In, a young woman doing powerful work to empower girls in the poorest parts of the world. I contacted her requesting that she consider speaking to our club, and she agreed to do so, giving us this week's program.
You will learn more about this amazing woman as she tells her story and the story of 4Girls GLocal Leadership. Guests, if you are inspired to help with your club or on your own in some way, feel free to contact Ms. In using the contact information in the program.
Talk to you soon,
Rushton

A Valentine from St. Valentine
Speaker: St. Valentine and an Unknown Romantic Collaborator
Date: Feb 14, 2011
In one form or another, St. Valentine’s Day is celebrated across the globe. Rotarians have a special liking for this saint since he gave the world the ‘romantic concept of love’ which is celebrated in many forms (even when it is not called Valentine’s Day). He also was dedicated to “service above self” in Roman times. In fact, he may have been the first Rotarian (although with many others who could share that fame).

Most everyone has some understanding of “fellowship.” It’s what we do at our meetings, whether Rotary or meeting someone for coffee, or working on a project.
