How long have you been in Rotary? Estimate if you do not know exact dates.
I've been in Rotary since 1995. I came to my first Rotary meeting uninvited. . . a friend of mine told me that Rotary has a program that provides 8:1 matches for international projects and I came to find out about that (the Matching Grants Program). When I got up to the nametag table for that first luncheon, a Rotary said "Who invited you?" When I said "No one, I just came on my own," he told me that I HAVE TO BE INVITED. So I turned to the person behind me in line, and said, "HE, invited me!" Of course, that person turned out to be a neighbor of mine and became my Rotary sponsor.

International Service. How happy am I to be serving our Club in this capacity again!! :)

What other Rotary involvement have you had? (Exchange, Friendship exchange, GSE, etc.)
We have been very involved with Youth Exchange, hosting three wonderful students and sending both of our kids on exchange. . .Ben went to Australia in 2001-2002, and Liz went to Slovakia in 2006-2007.

Where did you attend High School?
I attended high school in Topeka, Kansas, USA in the late 60's and early 70s. I was very happy to leave Topeka for college. . . and I never returned.

Where did you attend college?
I attended college at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado USA. Got my B.A. in Psychology. Then I did an M.A. in Human Development at St. Mary's College, Winona, Minnesota USA.

What is your current occupation?
I am currently the Director of Business Development for an emerging building materials company here in Prescott, Arizona, USA. This is a very exciting job with a company that will become very successful over the next few years.

What was the least favorite job you've ever had?
Selling life insurance!

Entertainment/Interests

What are your hobbies?
Beth and I spend a couple weekends each month traveling in our 26' RV trailer. That's our "down time". Is this a hobby?? I also love to hike, and Arizona has a wealth of hiking trails. Plus there's always the Grand Canyon, only 2 hours away. Also enjoy hiking and photography.

I don't play any and don't watch any. I can't even SPELL sprouts!

I love to grill vegetables, meats. . . anything!
