As some of you may know, I recently relocated, at least for this school year, to New York. I'm on Long Island in the picturesque little town of Bayville on the north or 'Gold' coast. Think Great Gatsby.

The town is nothing short of Mayberry on the water. Friendly people, great school, and a real small town feel. Quite a change in many ways from the Phx metro area. I'm bracing now for winter!

Last night I visited the  Bayville-Centre Island Rotary Club. I found a great club that reflects the town well, filled with jovial, dedicated Rotarians. A PDG was present and booked me into her club to speak. To say the least, Scarlet and I were well received. Oddly enough, their newest member lives part time in Arizona and I have met him! Small world.

True to the eClub motto of helping where we are, I volunteered to be called on if they were short-handed and BOOM! I'm working a car show fundraiser with them on Sunday.

Anyway, just wanted to give a short bit about a local club. More to come, I'm sure.

Trying to get without first giving is as fruitless as trying to reap without having first sown.

It does not do to leap a 20 ft chasm in two ten foot jumps.
