Are Paul Harris Credits (completed Fellows & those in process) automatically transferred to the recswausa or do members have to initiate the transfer?

As soon as you become a member, usually your paul harris contributions will automatically flow to the new club. please notice i said usually............i'll monitor the situation if you are new to our club, it usually takes a month or so.

This is a question about Paul Harris sustaining members. How do you go about becoming a sustaining member? Does your $100. contribution to Every Rotarian Every Year Apply? Tom and I both wish to become sustaining members.

Thank you for clearning this up. Tom and I have our Paul Harris, so we will begin our sustaining Paul Harris. Would it be helpful to send copies of the certificates to the eClub?

I guess that the question is: Is there any pin or something to indicate that you are a sustaining member? For example, I have been sending in 200 dollars every year, and I have never received anything that indicates that I am a sustaining member. Of course, when I reach a thousand I do receive an extra ruby. Is there any kind of tangible recognition given to a sustaining member?

I'm a Newbie...Can someone explain what a Paul Harris Credit is all about, and how does one become a Paul Harris "Sustaining" member. Are there different levels of Paul Harris members?

Dear Mamie,
I'm not an expert, but have some knowledge which I'm happy to share. The full information on Rotary Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is found at the Rotary Int'l link at the top right on this page, then click on "Contribute."
If you really want to learn how it started: The history of the foundation is found at http://www.foundationhistory.org (copy and paste this link)and is maintained by Rotary Global History Fellowship.
Many people refer to the Paul Harris Foundation, or paying dues to Paul Harris. That's okay, but not accurate. The part of Rotary that handles donations and provides grants is TRF, The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. After the death of Founder Paul Harris, an award naming individuals as "Paul Harris Fellows" was established. Today, there are many levels of giving from 100 per year (Sustaining Members of TRF) to those giving millions.
These are not different levels of Paul Harris members, but contributors to The Rotary Foundation. For those who want to know what TRF is doing, visit http://www.ourfoundation.info and sign up for the "Our Foundation Newsletter," distributed, free, monthly, by Rotary Global History Fellowship. This timely newsletter is read by thousands of Rotary senior leaders and district/club foundation leaders.
The history of the foundation, found above, is very interesting, as is the material at the RI website.
I hope that this has been helpful,

Thank you Jack for sharing the information. I actually received my first two Rotarian magazines in the mail yesterday. I am amazed, and somewhat in awed with all that Rotary has done, and aim to do.
Wow...I am really glad Joe Krueger sponsored me. Thank you Joe for the vote of confidence.
More later. Thanks again Jack.
