Haven't you seen these:
There are five stars *****. These are there to allow each of us to recognize and encourage the efforts and contributions of other members.
After viewing someone's profile, you can click on star 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 and make a note to show them that you like something a member or visitor has done. There are also participation point stars under each forum posting, near blogs, and also under each of the photos we post.
I always give big points for people using their full names (much easier to recognize them that way) and also photos of themselves.
Don't know how to post a forum or profile photo? Check the website users guide found on the "My Account" page.
So, knock yourself out and see some stars.

Jack,
I am ashamed to say that I have not done this. I guess I never took the time to really try to understand the system. Now that you explain it, it seems easy to use and it might encourage people to be more active. I will certainly get going on it as soon as I return from the cruise.
Thanks for your help!

Thanks to Frank.
I hope he has a wonderful cruise. Sherry and I are planning three vacations in the next three months.
It's good to get away, and our eClub makes that so easy. I can continue to do Rotary work, even from my cell phone. That's also why I use the "*****" (stars) to recognize those eRotarians who participate.
When you see ***** (stars) take a moment to click on them to encourage others in their "Rotary to Rotary."

Maybe it would be a good idea to reverse this system and award points to all members and visitors who post comments on the forum and after meetings?
It would show us who is participating and might encourage all members to get more involved.
This works very well for the Denver Post (Colorado) It's in my state and offers discussion of issues close to home, so I've been participating and really enjoying it.
