Messages from New Members

Posted: 2 years ago

Starting in this new position as President, it is refreshing that some of the new messages that I have gotten (certainly not all the goodwill messages) are from new members. I find this heartening for the future of our eClub. Welcome these new members to our eClub! Frances De Nuit and John Brine. I mentioned them in my President's Corner but this gives you more insigght into them.

"I am very excited to become part of the Rotary eClub of the Southwest, USA. This week I attended the Rotary Club of Aluguergue- the big (230 members) downtown club. Then I read this week's eClub letter and there was my name as member #71!

I have volunteered to work on recruiting volunteers for the New Mexico Mission of Mercy project in October which will likely provide more than 1200 people with free dental care in in single weekend.  It is the project of the Albuquerque area Rotary Club past presidents.  So I will be attending various local clubs during July and August to encourage participation of individuals in the project scheduled for October 15, 16, and 17.”    Frances S. Also I received a message from another of our new member, John Brine, who was one of the first to vote on our eClub 2010 New Constitution.

It is this kind of enthusiasm that make some of us older Rotarians blossom and find our young self to give a little more, to help a little more.
