Hi Mukesh,
Great to see you here. I've givenup on my plan, and now thinking of joining a good eclub, and to create a Satellite club instead.
Have a look at http://www.rotaryeclubwa.org/. Of course I left my present club to make this a reality, but then changed my plans. I'll be closing down this website as soon as I find an eclub to join. I am happy to give my website to you if that helps you. It's joomla based, and can be transfered to a new host/domain without any issue. It's a great start to create an awareness, and to communicate your plan. My objective was to get young, busy professionals into Rotary, and to innovate new projects with time.
Cheers,
Kasun

Hi Kasun .. I have read you membership application to our eClub and also your comment about staring a satellite club in your area.
Our board of directors decided to not consider becoming part of the pilot program evaluating the satellite concept since our widely dispersed and open membership framework provides for members local to an area to gather for fellowship, coordinate local Rotary projects, etc, much like an independent club would do. The major difference, of course, is that we have a single club structure.
Our club is working at multiple levels to associate young, service minded individuals with Rotary. There is a vast number of talented young professionals in your area that could easily form the structure of a future eClub. In fact, we worked with district 3190 earlier this year and they are chartering the Rotary eClub of Bangalore the 25th of this month.
In Rotary friendship and service,

Here are some ideas about starting an eClub: 1) you must have a vision of what you want the club to be (our club started with a global/local identity where any member could attend 24/7/365); 2) we found that the quality of the meeting (just as it is with a 'terra' club) is the most important thing (an eClub meeting should mirrow what a 'terra' club has been doing for year but embellish it with what technology can do; and it should be blend of information, wisdom, fun, club announcments, one person's view: the eClub President; and a program that is first rate (no matter where it would be given- but here not to exceed 10-14 pages and mostly 6-8); 3) it should use the voices (written material) of the members to add spice to each meeting; and 4) it should be an extension of the 'vision of the eClub'. You allow the visitors to have a voice (Selected Comments) as well as the members. Most of all, in beginning an eClub, you have to keep in constant contact with the members so that they know that the leadership cares about them as human being first and Rotarians second.
Hope all this helps you.
