I am very excited and happy about the selection of Ron Burton as the R.I. President for 2013-14. Ron was the Convening Director of the Zone Institute in Tucson in 1998. I was the emcee for the evening's events, the introduction of each incoming District Governor in Zones 25 and 26, and also the introduction of the President-Elect of R.I., Carlo Ravizza. (I practiced for days and introduced him in Italian.) Ron referred to the event as the Taylor-Burton Show. He will make a wonderful down-to-earth President of Rotary International, and I was honored to share a dais with him.

Last year I attended Zone in Albuquerque, part to help Mel with a booth on e-Clubs, and I registered to attend the sessions. I had the chance to hear Ron talk on the foundation, and if you were not a believer before, you sure were after you heard him. Later in the weekend, I had the chance to visit with Ron.I am really excited that we have such an inspirational person to represent RI. He will do a great job.
