We now have eleven members who plan to attend District Conference as indicated by this forum.  Our Phoenix area members are dragging their feet.  What can I do to help you join in the sign up?  Next week I will post details in our meeting on how to do just that.  Anything that I can do to make it easy for you, I will try.  Looking forward to meeting many of you in person.

Registration for the District Conference is now on-line at www.rotary5510.org   I will be sending Frances a pdf registration form that can be completed and mailed in as well.  The theme is. ROTARY - MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE.  District 5510 Conference of Clubs - ENGAGE, EMBRACE, ENJOY.   TRANSFORM!

So far, 6 of the 18 members registered for the District Conference are from our club.  For new members, our DG is married to our member Sanday Abalos.  Alan has put together a fabulous conference with great entertaining music included.  Local Phoenix area members, please register now so we travelers will know who we get to meet at the conference. Problems seen to be resolved in the online registration, but if you need help, contact me, Sandy Abalos or Larry Levenson for assistance.  .....Frances S. Judy and I haven't missed a D5510 District Conference since moving here in 1993 so we will certainly be at this one. I can count about 25 of our eClub members who have already signed up or normally make the event. We will have our annual installation/outstallation of our eClub board of directors and officers in addition to, or during, some sort of a social gathering. It is a pretty tight DC schedule so I am working with DG Alan and DGE Abe to come up with a time. We are asking DG Alan to do the outstallation of our current BOD and DGE Abe to do the installation of the 2012-13 officers and directors. Abe has already agreed and I am awaiting a call from Alan. Count me in for District Conference. Probably won't register until late April but I will get there.... Doing traveling for family and work so .... but Conference registration is on my list.... See you all there....

As discussed above, we are set to do our annual change of leadership event at our D5510 Conference, June 8-9. District Governor  Alan has agreed to do the outstallation segment of our ceremony, addressing the out-going BOD, and will assign one of the breakout rooms for that purpose. As mentioned, DG-Elect Abe will do the installation of new officers & directors. The tentative time is immediately following the memorial service on Saturday that is scheduled to end about 4:30.The conference schedule is pretty full so we might consider having a bar set up in the assigned room and we can have our own cocktail hour until dinner starts at 6P.Mel
