If you live in Arizona, or are passing through, or want to visit, then Jthe weekend of January 20-22 is for YOU!

Friday night dinner at The Palance Saloon, a Prescott icon of the Old West.

Saturday will be a fun day doing local events/museums/hiking as the weather and people's interests dictate.

Saturday night is pot-luck dinner at the Levensons. Bring some wine or beer, or a side dish, or dessert. We'll have turkey and ham, and more!

PLEASE RSVP to Beth Levenson for this weekend, so we can plan efficiently.

If you want to Skype with us during the weekend, please email Larry Levenson with a couple times that would work well for you. We'd LOVE to include our international firends in our weekend! (For your Skyping pleasure, keep in mind that Arizona is GMT -7).

Doreen has just booked a block of 8 rooms with king-size beds for all our visitors.

I have arranged the hotel @ Comfort Suites, http://2.ly/p92f. I know the GM who is a Paul Harris Fellow and past Rotarian. Hans may be a new member shortly .We have 8 rooms reserved with a king size bed and each room also has a fold out sofa.

• Free continental breakfast included.
• Room rate is $79.00 plus tax
• Check in Friday 1/20 and check out Sunday 1/22
• If someone uses the fold out soda for a third person it is $10 more.

One thing we forgot to mention in the invitation is that the theme of the party is Beat the Winter Doldrums. To this end we are going to help you clean out your closets, attics and basements of unwanted articles with a White Elephant gift exchange. Remember that orange and purple mohair sweater that your great-aunt Mabel knitted for you 10 years ago? Or the hideous plastic "sculpture" of the dancing nymphs that Cousin Ralph sent you from Greece? Or the panini sandwich maker your boss gave you last year, right after you found out you were allergic to wheat and can't eat bread anymore?

I'm sure we all have something someone gave us that we don't like or can't use. Here's what you can do to get rid of it: wrap it up nicely, so that the wrapping will make someone want to see what's in it. We'll put each person's "gift" on a table and have a drawing to see who gets to choose the first gift, the 2nd, etc. Chaos ensues when the 5th person to choose, steals the 2nd person's gift and the 2nd person has to choose another. You can also try to get someone down the line to take the one you took so that you can choose a different one.

The great thing about this gift exchange is that if you don't want to take yours home, you can leave it with Larry and me, and we'll take it to a local  charity for you, to give it away.

We're gonna have lots of fun, folks, so come on up the mountain and get together with your fellow eclubbers!

If you can't come for the whole weekend, come for any part you can, Friday night, Saturday night, whatever you can make work in your schedule. The Levensons have shown up to lots of Phoenix eclub parties, even when we turned around and drove home the same night. Y'all's turn to come visit the Levensons.

OK, we understand that if you're in France or Japan, maybe you can't come in person. We will have at least 1 Skype hour, if not more, so if you can't come in person, we hope you can arrange it to visit virtually.

Beth and Larry, it sounds like an amazing time. I wish I could be there! Arizona is spectacular in January, but I will have to try to Skype it. Do you take rain checks?

My plans changed, so my reservation is set! It should be gorgeous in Prescott this time of year. I can't wait. Thank you, Larry and Beth, for spearheading this. Now, what to bring for the White Elephant?

BIG news! Francoise (from France) is coming to Prescott! Wow! This is looking like a lot of fun!

If you're on the fence, get off the fence and RSVP with Beth quickly! Jan 20,21. Looks like Kim Covill (albuquerque) might come in to join us.

Hey... anyone out there from California?? Are you coming? Seems we've made several expeditions to So. Cal. Your turn to come here! :)

Oh, how I wish I could come to that party!!  I'm going to Paris in September of this year and would love to get some information from Francoise!  But, I have Interact both Jan 21 and 22.  We're preparing for our Presidents' Winter Retreat held in February.

You betcha, Larry! I'm driving to Arizona and picking up Francoise in Phoenix then driving to Prescott. We'll make the return trip by car to Los Angeles together on Sunday for her flight back to Paris.

This is going to be a FANTASTIC party! I can't wait! :-)

I am happy to see and feel the excitement of our REWSWUSA members!  Those who claim that we do not experience FELLOWSHIP in our eClub, really do not know what they are talking about.  I am sorry that I will not be able to attend, but I share in the excitement from a distance.
