The power of Rotary lies in the global network of community leaders and technical experts who share our mission to improve health, support education, and alleviate poverty. Working together, we achieve lasting change through the combination of local oversight and the resources of an international organization. Examples of the humanitarian service projects that ReCSWUSA has participated this Rotary Year are:
- School supplies to elementary students in New Mexico
- Water to families in the Navajo Nation in New Mexico and in Taxco de Alarcón, Guerrero, Mexico
- Diabetes prevention and management center in Rajkot, Gujarat, India
In each of these projects, the Rotary eClub of the Southwest USA was able to join with partners and other Rotary Club to receive matching grants from The Rotary Foundation. These District and Global Grants were funded by donations made three years ago to the Annual Fund-SHARE. This fund is the primary source of funding for a broad range of local and international service activities and needs continual donations to fund future projects.
Because our district aggressive seeks partners for projects through Foundation Grants, we are able to leverage a 1 USD donation into 7 USD to fund a service project. As we approach the end of the Rotary Year, please consider making a donation to The Rotary Foundation. You can make a one-time donation by completing the contribution form found at https://riweb.rotaryintl.org/ContributionForms.aspx?Page_Name=CGR and mailing a check to Rotary International. Alternatively, you can make a one-time donation or setup recurring donations online at https://my.rotary.org/en/node/334806.
Thank you for helping Rotary: Making a Difference.
